“ What a fantastic little gem First thing to hit you was the welcome by all of the staff and the place has a great vibe about it. Lovely decor The staff are all very knowledgable about the food & drinks menu and seem to have got the balance just right when it comes to being on hand but not in your face constantly. On to the food - well the dishes are quite small with the idea that you order a few different ones to taste. We ordered 8 and really enjoyed every one. The stand outs were the Burrata starter, Mushroom Tagliatelle & Aubergine Parmigiana The food is so tasty and cooked perfectly We will be booking again soon!! ”
“ Simply exquisite. These guys are absolutely smashing it. They took care of us wonderfully, and every dish was knock out! Thanks everyone for a stand out meal,we're looking forward to getting back again soon Matt ”
“ We went to Tropea on Friday 25th April and I have to say is a must-visit for Italian food lovers! It transports you to the sunny shores of southern Italy’s Calabrian coast with its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service is top-notch - friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They strike the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, making you feel like a VIP. The food is absolutely incredible! They have these amazing sharing plates that let you try a variety of flavours and textures. The Burrata is a must-try - it’s soft, buttery, and packed with fresh herbs, nuts, and strawberries. It’s like a party in your mouth! The Green agnolotti filled with ricotta is another must-try. They make the pasta fresh and flavorful, and it’s a real standout on the menu. The beef cheek ragu is slow-cooked to perfection - it’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious and super satisfying. It’s the perfect pairing with pasta or polenta. And the sauteed chicken livers are a amazing. They’re packed with flavour and have a tender texture that really complements the other dishes. ”
“ My partner and I had a fantastic evening and left the restaurant thinking why hadn’t we come here sooner? Everything from the decor, food, drinks and service was perfect and made for a magical date night. Would highly recommend and will be returning for sure! ”
“ This was our second time dining at Tropea post Michelin star and extension and it did not disappoint. Courgette flowers were divine: mint and goats cheese transported me back to Cyprus. While normally not a fan of savoury and sweet, the burrata with strawberry was subtle and silky. For pasta, we choose the wild prawn linguine and beef cheek ragu. If I had to offer one criticism, both were a tad over-salted, which slightly overpowered the flavours. If I remember correctly, I had the same criticism the first time we visited. The chef is clearly skilled so no need to over salt! The spatchcock chicken was a surprising standout dish. So difficult to get a tasty chicken these days, wonderful produce cooked beautifully. Tiramisu for desert was good but not exceptional, but does not come close to the best tiramisu I ever had in a hole in the wall in Rome. Lovely patient staff and a relaxed atmosphere! Highly recommend. ”
“ Absolutely incredible at everything! The food was just unreal. Would 100% recommend. The service was lovely - all staff were kind and helpful. Also not too bad on price. This is a must try ”
“ Was extremely pleased with this restaurant and staff were very friendly from the moment you enter. I had some booking issues but was able to resolve them quickly through email and received a prompt call to follow my issue. The solution was clearly explained and made it easy to find an alternative. In terms of food, everything was delicious and well plated. Food came out in a timely manner and more surprisingly, menus also included a small message celebrating the occasion! Truly get a taste of every dish if you can but if not, get the Arancino and salt aged-beef fillet carpaccio for starters. For pasta, the linguine with red prawns was tangy and flavoursome but meat lovers would enjoy the Tagliatelle with venison shoulder ragu. The grilled octopus was delightful and meaty and balanced well with the roasted pumpkin with ricotta. Dessert is certainly difficult to choose but the tiramisu was wonderful, fluffy but also still maintained the coffee flavour well! The panna cotta was amazingly refreshing with rhubarb and wafer Only thing that isn’t really a negative but just funny was a slight change to my name but honestly made the experience more memorable. I really appreciate the effort and care in every detail to ensure comfort and ease whilst dining! Overall glad I came and shoutout to the team there for making this service amazing from beginning to end! You all deserve a lot of love ”
“ Went to Tropea for the first time for my birthday and it was definitely the right choice! Love the atmosphere and the little detail on the menu. The staff also offer us an extra piece of brownie after spelling my name wrong haha. Excellent service. Looking forward to return! ”
